Dale Hurst, Port City Nominee

Dale Hurst was nominated by The Friends of the Duluth Public Library. Dale has been involved with this organization for the past seven years where she served as president and is currently the editor of their newsletter.

She has been on the MN State Horticultural Society board for two years and on the 8th MSHS executive board for eight years and is their current president.

She has also been a Duluth Garden Flower Society member for the past ten years and started a Bookworm Garden Club in 2004 to enhance the area surrounding the downtown library.

Her past activities include being a Northern Pine Girl Scout board member for six years of which four were spent as secretary and a Girl Scout leader for 13 years.

Most who know Dale find her funny, inspiring, and dedicated to many needed projects in our community.
