Every year we struggle with who should we give to, who should we cut from our lists of donations. If you look at the Nonprofit Organization Look-Up by zip code you can find the IRS subsection, assets and income of non-profits in our region and throughout the United States.
You then need to google their website, find out about their mission and actually how is their money used. Does it impact our community in a worthwhile way?

We were looking through the list and noticed some places have no assets, no income, they are struggling to survive. Should we all be helping them? Some send their money away. Some are still in the building stage. Where can our buck make the biggest difference? Where is it not a tax write off with out real meaning that impacts our community?
