Bullying In The Schools

May 16

Bullying is a problem that effects a child’s self esteem and social growth. We know that it can have devastating effects on children. Some will even committ sucide over it.  Susan Swearer co-authored a book called Bullying in American Schools: A Social-Econlogical Perspective on Prevention and Intervention.

In this book she says students must be told to stop, there needs to be bullying records.

Let your child know that you will help them. Try to figure out what is causing the bullying. Report it to the school and ask what steps they will take. Make the school accountable if it is occuring in school. If it is occuring outside of school, use the same techniques.
