YMCA Camp Miller

YMCA Camp Miller (located at Sturgeon Lake) is a non-profit organization which creates positive life enhancing experiences for youth. I can remember kids selling candy bars to go to Camp Miller. I am assuming they still sell candy bars.

In 2010 there were 1,000 youth who attended the camp whereas 42 young adults attended Camp Miller’s Leadership program, Counselor in Training, and gained leadership, communication and social skills. Because of camp scholarships 80 children were able to attend. In the summer of 2010 over 509 youth participated in a wonderful camping experience.

As a public charity they have three crucial areas that they address: youth development,  healthy living, and social responsiblity.

You or your organization can help by providing money for camp scholarships.

They have a wants and needs list that you, your church group, or community organization can help with. You may have gotten some of these items for Christmas, your birthday, or you may find them during your winter, spring, or summer cleaning. Maybe it is your business or a school clean out project. They can be new or gently used.
