Duluth Fesitval Opera

21 Jan

Ever been to the opera?  I remember my daughter taking opera singing lessons in high school.  She loved it at the time.

Check out the Opera Cabaret VII to is Friday night, February 22th. It is Valentine’s Weekend, almost, and  in the beautiful Moorish Room at the Greysolon Plaza.

This year’s emphasis is on elegant dining, romance, and grandeur. The music theme is called, “Heroes and Heroines.” The event will be hosted by KBJR’s Morning anchor Laura Langema and the very popular broadcasterLaura Peterson from Mix 108 FM Radio. There will be a chance board, a live auction, and lots more.

They will have a superb group of Cabaret singers from Amy Wolf,  Nathan Herfindahl, Andrew Oakton, Sidney Walker and Kirsten Hoiseth. It sounds like they have a great program to raise the rafters.

The menu will feature chateaubriand-beef tenderloin paired with Almond crusted walley, compliementary champagne and wine, desserts, coffeee and a cash bar. You should check it out.

If you have never gone, it could be a great experience. (I remember watching the movie,  Pretty Woman many times and the lead actress, Julie Roberts crying over going to the opera for the very first time. It can effect you in a very personal way like no other performance.)
