The awards are September 21-22, 2012 in San Diego in San Diego. Circle of Hope is a grassroots organization of volunteers. The board is also a volunteer board, as is the coordinator. No one is paid a salary as they raise money to help the public good of breast cancer clients struggling with the disease.

There are some folks that raise money for operating. Circle of Hope also has an office downtown.
This organization is about transparency, accountability, and especially about helping those in most need. They have a resource library of tapes, CD’s, books, pamphlets. Board members can speak at events or have a health fair table. The coordinator is a licenced health teacher.
Many involved on the board are breast cancer survivors. Some are cancer survivors and some have not had cancer. The coordinator is a multiple cancer survivor, a non-paid volunteer. The board gives and gives of their time as does all the volunteers for the organization.
